The Super Hero Edit
Heroes and champions of good the Super Hero can be anyone from a guy in a super powered suit, an alien, a mutant and anything in between. On the flip side this class is perfectly suited to a super villain, because what's a hero without a villain?
Super Heroes are incredibly varied and reflect a vast spectrum of powers, abilities and special skills. From men of steel to mutants with laser eyes the Super Hero always strives towards some goal which he believes is "right", even if other heroes disagree.
This class was designed to be very flexible while laying down some basic ground rules for a super hero style campaign. This class also best suits heroes who will see a fair amount of combat or have combat oriented abilities. That's not to say you can't make a great telepath or magic using super hero with the class, but the high BAB and HD may not be well suited to this type of hero.
Hit Dice and Ability Scores
The Super Hero uses d10 Hit Dice.
Any ability can be important to a Super Hero depending on the powers he chooses, but having a decent strength (for melee fighting) or dexterity (for ranged combat and defense) are good choices while a high charisma can give your hero the personality he needs to be the leader of a super team.
Class Skills and Skill Points
All combat skills except Gun Combat are considered class skills for Super Heroes. (Super Heroes who wish to use gun as their primary weapons should most like take levels in Gun Bunny, Giant Robot or Mecha Pilot)
Other class skills (and the key ability for each) are: Balance (Dex), Climb (Str), Controlled Breathing (Con), Disguise (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Power Usage (varies), Power Lifting (Str), Sense Motive (Wis), Spot (Wis), Swim (Str) and Tumble (Dex)
- Skill Points at 1st Level
(2 + Int Modifier) x4
- Skill Points at Each Additional Level
2 + Int Modifier
Base Attack Bonus- As Samurai
Good Saves- Fortitude and Reflex
Special- At level 2 and each even level thereafter (level 4, level 6, level 8, ect.) the Super Hero gains an additional +4 character points.
Creators Note: I designed the Super Hero class to allow for play of almost any type of super hero someone could think of. The class is a little combat heavy, but then most comics are as well. The Super Hero is actually just slightly unpowered (about 10 points less) but I feel this is fair since they are so versatile and have many class skills available to them.
