Level AdjustmentEdit

Note that an Awakened Cat character will most likely be seriously underpowered at a Level Adjustment of +0. No hands and a Reach of 0ft is quite limiting...

True. I think the consensus was that it was slightly weaker when compared to an equivelent ECL Kobold, and there was talk of utilizing negative LAs, but with regards to the cat, it was only a slight negative, and a lot of hand wringing and mumbling and such, so I just left it as is for now. With an unranked Hide skill of +8 and scent I couldn't possibly consider a negative LA. If this was a small character, then +0 LA would be right. I don't think a tiny creature is worth any less; it has reach/grapple penalties but considerable "access" advantages if GM'd correctly - jumping through tiny windows, running along thin ledges, etc. Marasmusine 09:00, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
