1: While the PCs are visiting an Elven Village, it is attacked by an Orcish horde. After the battle, it is discovered that the attack was a diversion! During the battle a small band of Orcs and Half-Orcs had stolen a load of Powerful Elven Magic Items! With the village guards heavily wounded and generally spent, the relativly unscaved PCs are asked to retreive them.
2: A famous Ranger, who is one of the few Non-Elves to be given an Elven Oathbow and is known for hunting down Drow and Duergar, inexplicably attacks and kills a Good Elven Diplomat and her entire entourage on their way to negotiate a military alliance with a Dwarven kingdom beset by relentless Drow raids! The PCs are asked by either the Elves or Dwarves to discover why this has happened and punish those responcible for it. (DM Note: An example of why this is happening could be that the Ranger has been Dominated by a powerful Drow Wizard who is using him to sow discord and emnity between the surface Elves and the Dwarven kingdom so the Wizard can more easily finish off the Dwarves, thusly gaining a defendable base to then strike at the Surface Elves and take Revenge upon them!)
