Dragons are great creatures to have in D&D (especially since the name of the game includes them), and WotC managed to create a very compact way to show dragon statistics, since they advance through twelve life stages, rather than through hit dice, like most creatures do. But, this makes it hard to come up with a dragon on the spot, for a particular age category. Since the goal of this wiki is to enable DMs to do just that with any NPC, this repository will have a sample dragon from each life stage for each dragon race in the WotC pantheon for use.

As with any intelligent NPC, feats and skills have to be assigned some way, and it will vary from dragon to dragon in that age category, but that's up to the DM to choose. So, each dragon portrayed here will have their feats and skills picked out, as well as a personality description that makes them a bit unique, so their stats may be slightly modified by feats like Improved Initiative, and Multiattack.

This list may be extensive, but it's not all the creatures that fit under the creature type "Dragon". They are, however, all the Dragon-types that advance through age levels rather than hit dice. For more information on the Dragon type overall, visit the SRD page on True Dragons.

Typically referred to as the "Bad" dragons, these five are predisposed toward evil, and are the sworn enemies of the Metallic dragons.
