From the shadows a horrifying image appears before you. It's shape is hard to distinguish at first, midnight tentacles writhing and flailing in all directions, the creature rolling and pulling itself along. One of the seemingly innumerable black appendages rises up, and then darts directly towards you.

A living black tentacles is a dangerous, near mindless predator. Their only goal is to squeeze the very life out of any creature they encounter and they have no regard for just who, or what, their prey is. Often the first signs that a living black tentacles has infested an area with it's presence are large numbers of dead animals of all shapes and sizes littering the area, though in more urban location these trails may in fact be made up of dead humanoids. With it's ability to quickly subdue multiple targets in only a few rounds living black tentacles often engulf their prey and constrict them into a pulpy mush, crushing flesh, bones and even most types of equipment.

Spell Effect (Su) A creature hit by a living acid arrow or engulfed by it is affected by the black tentacles spell; it must make a grapple check against the tentacles grapple of +15. If grappled, the tentacles may make a grapple check every round on the creature's turn to deal 1d6+4 bludgeoning damage, for 7 rounds or until the creature escapes.

Engulf (Ex) Ooze may move into opponent's space; Opponent gets attack of opportunity or a reflex save of DC 16. If save is made, opponent is pushed back or aside, otherwise opponent is considered grappled and suffers a black tentacles strike each round.
