Fisher Makepeace is a cheerful young Druid in the service of Baron Manfred of the Barony of Karriver. This halfling is a happy-go-lucky fellow, who babbles and burbles contentedly to himself and his companions (the badger Muddy, and his treant friend Oakwhisper). Fisher came to Karriver about six years ago, with Muddy in tow. He stumbled across Oakwhisper when the treant had been badly burned in a forest fire, and nursed him back to health. The two have been fast friends ever since. Both Fisher and Oakwhisper serve Baron Manfred happily and find him to be a trustworthy overlord. They will willingly act to aid the Baron in whatever manner he requests, though they will be reluctant to leave their home for more than a day or two. Fisher's grove is on an island about a mile downstream from Baron Manfred's castle, and there is a small village within a few minutes' walk on the river's east bank.
