Triads are gangs from China with a long history, known for human smuggling operations (the victims in the United States or Canada usually become sex slaves in brothels). Most Triad members are simply thugs with little to distinguish them from thugs from other forms or organized crime. However, some Triad members believe the tales that their organization is descended from Shaolin monk/freedom fighters and train extensively in the martial arts.
In practice, this NPC can be used represent any martial arts-trained thug from any group, not just the Triads.
