[edit] A'tuin vs. Lavos: The Fight of the Eternity!

Who are Lavos and A'tuin? Look at Brobdingnagian Teratoid Tarrasque for Lavos and A'tuin the Star Turtle for, well, A'tuin.

I used the dice roller at [1], part of the Wizards of the Coast DnD website.

Now, the battle!

[edit] The Battle!

ROUND 1: A'tuin, with 6,664 more miles of reach, Full Attacks Lavos. With her astronomical attack bonuses, she can only miss on a natural 1. Roll for bite: 5. Damage: 920d10+108=5,146. Next 999 d10s: 5,404. Last d10: 3. Total: 5,146 + 5,404 + 3 = 10,553 points of damage; after Dr, though, it's 7,142. Lavos has 193,484 hit points left.

The first flipper rolls an 18. It deals 5,426 points of damage (2,015 after DR), leaving Lavos with 191,469 hp.

The next flipper is a 2. It deals 5,412 points, or 2,001 after. DR. Lavos now has 189,468 hit points.

[edit] The Futility of Continuing

Lavos regenerates 9,353 of the 11,158 points of damage he took.

It is useless to continue. Lavos loses about 2,000 hit points each round, after DR and regeneration. It would take hours for Lavos, at full speed, to get within attacking distance; when he did, he would only hit on a natural 20. That's when A'tuin's DR and fast healind would kick in.

On the other hand, of course, Lavos cannot be killed by A'tuin, as he doesn't take lethal damage.

[edit] Score: A'tuin 1,935,856,743; Lavos 0

Ok, those are wild guesses. But you see my point. Star turtles rule; giant tarrasques drool.
